Tour Overview

Private Everest Helicopter Charter Tour — Your Own Helicopter to the Top of the World

The Private Everest Helicopter Charter Tour is the most exclusive way to experience Mount Everest. Instead of sharing a flight with strangers, you charter the entire helicopter for your own group — up to 5 passengers — and fly from Kathmandu to the Everest View Hotel for breakfast, then return the same morning.

This is the tour that celebrities, honeymooners, families and VIPs choose when they want Everest on their own terms. Your departure time is flexible, the cabin is yours alone, and you decide how long to linger over breakfast while Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam fill the window. At $5,500 for the whole helicopter, it works out to as little as $1,100 per person when you fly with five — often less than a shared group seat, with none of the compromises.

Operated by Heli Tours Nepal (Enticing Himalayas Travel), this private charter uses modern high-altitude helicopters flown by experienced Everest-region pilots. It’s the fastest, most comfortable, and most private way to stand in the shadow of the world’s highest mountain — no trekking, no crowds, no waiting.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Your team picks you up from your Kathmandu hotel in a private vehicle and transfers you to the domestic helipad. Because this is a private charter, your departure time is flexible — we work around your schedule, not the other way around. After a short safety briefing, you board your own helicopter with just your group.
Lift off from Kathmandu and climb over the green middle hills. Within about 45 minutes the white giants appear — first the rolling peaks of the Langtang and Rolwaling ranges, then the towering wall of the Khumbu. Your pilot narrates the peaks and positions the aircraft for the best photo opportunities, with the whole cabin to yourselves.
The helicopter follows the classic route over Lukla, Namche Bazaar and the Dudh Koshi river gorge. Below you, the trekking trails you’ve seen in photos wind toward Everest. You’ll pass close to Ama Dablam — often called the most beautiful mountain in Nepal — before turning toward the Everest View Hotel.
The helicopter sets down at the Everest View Hotel (3,880m), famously the highest-placed hotel in the world. Step out onto the terrace and there it is: Mount Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam spread across the horizon. This is your private moment — no crowds, no rush, just your group and the biggest view on Earth.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel’s panoramic dining room or terrace. Coffee, eggs, pancakes and Nepali specialties, served with an uninterrupted view of the world’s highest mountain. Take your time — because the helicopter is yours alone, you decide how long to stay. Most guests spend 45–90 minutes soaking it in and taking photos.
Board your private helicopter for the flight back. The return leg offers a different light on the peaks and sweeping views back across the Khumbu. You’ll land in Kathmandu by early afternoon and be driven back to your hotel, usually arriving before lunch — with the rest of your day completely free.

Good to Know Before You Fly

This is a fully private charter — the entire helicopter is reserved for your group of up to 5, so your departure time and how long you stay at the Everest View Hotel are flexible. Flights are weather-dependent; morning departures have the calmest air and clearest mountain views, so we recommend an early start and keeping a buffer day in your itinerary. The Everest View Hotel landing sits at 3,880m — altitude effects are mild for a short visit, but move slowly and stay hydrated. Helicopters have strict weight limits, so travel light; we’ll confirm the total passenger weight when you book. Breakfast at the hotel is paid directly there (approx. NPR 4,600 per person).
